• To process course enrollments and manage student accounts

Instagram Data

When you interact with our Instagram account, we may collect:

• Comments you post on our Instagram posts
• Direct messages you send to our Instagram business account
• Your Instagram username and public profile information

This information is used solely to respond to your inquiries, provide customer support, and improve our services. We do not share this information with third parties except as required to provide our services.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls.

Student records are retained for the duration of your enrollment and up to 2 years after course completion for educational recordkeeping purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Instagram/Meta Platform - for social media integration
• Payment processors - for secure payment processing
• Cloud hosting providers - for data storage and application hosting

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of your information.

Student Portal

Enrolled students may access a personal Student Portal (on the my.planbeta.app subdomain). To provide it, we collect and process:

• Your email address, used only to send a one-time login code. We never store the code in readable form — only a short-lived, hashed value that is deleted once used.
• Profile and relocation details you choose to provide: your city in India, profession, destination city in Germany, relocation timeline, visa status, and your aspirations.
• Class information already held in our system (batch, schedule, attendance, level, payment status), shown to you read-only.

Optional student network. If you opt in, we record your consent (with a timestamp) to include your profile in a future Plan Beta student network. It is optional, off by default, and you can withdraw at any time from your profile — withdrawing stops your data being used for the network. We do not share your profile with other students unless and until you opt in.

Sensitive details. Some fields (such as visa status and where you live in Germany) are sensitive. We collect them only with your consent, use them solely to support your learning and relocation, and you may leave them blank.

Portal access uses a signed token stored in your browser (key pb-portal-token, in local storage if you choose “Keep me signed in” or otherwise session storage that clears when you close your browser) that identifies only you and grants access only to your own data. The token itself contains no password. Students set an account password on first login or via email-code recovery; that password is stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store or transmit it in plain text.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a minimal set of cookies and browser storage to operate our services. On your first visit to our marketing site, you will see a consent banner allowing you to choose which cookies to accept.

Essential (Always Active)

• next-auth.session-token — Authentication cookie used only for staff dashboard login. Not set on the marketing site.
• pb-cookie-consent — Stored in localStorage to remember your cookie preferences (essential vs. analytics). Contains no personal data.
• pb-portal-token — Stored in your browser on the Student Portal to keep you signed in (local storage if you choose “Keep me signed in”, otherwise session storage that is cleared when you close the browser). Contains a signed identifier for your account only; no password.

Analytics (Opt-In Only)

• Vercel Analytics — Privacy-focused, cookieless web analytics that measures page views and performance. Only loaded if you click "Accept All" in the consent banner.
• Vercel Speed Insights — Measures Core Web Vitals (loading speed, interactivity, visual stability) to help us improve site performance. Only loaded with your consent.

We do not use any advertising, remarketing, or third-party tracking cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser's local storage and revisiting our site.

Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
